Massage Therapy for Women
Feel better physically, mentally and emotionally...
The benefits of my massage therapy is far more than those feel-good moments. Massage may be a way for you to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally.
Each of my sessions is a building block, training your body to maintain its relaxed state and teaching your muscles to remain loose even during high-stress periods.
Massage Therapy for women in Mermaid Waters
Relaxation massage is great for people who’ve had a stressful week or month, as it allows the body to catch up and recharge. It’s a pain free therapy & an effective way to de-stress and relax the mind and body.
Relaxation massage at the #AFGC studio provides a general loosen up, encourages blood flow throughout the body, and helps boost the immune system by stimulating the lymphatics.
Do you suffer from sore muscles and stiff, aching joints? Are you experiencing tension headaches, back or neck pain? Sports Massage will have you feeling better in no time!
This massage is focused on easing muscle tightness, increasing blood flow, allowing the body to repair damaged tissue and prevent future injury. I use techniques designed to ease your aches and improve your health.
Trigger Point Massage
Trigger Point Massage is an effective treatment for pain. The main reason behind its success is related to chronic pain patterns. The establishment of chronic pain patterns occurs within a few months of an injury. Trigger Point Massage is useful in breaking this pain cycle.
Trigger Point Massage is useful in the relief of back, neck, shoulder, knee, muscle and joint pain, sciatica and headaches.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage offers physical and psychological benefits. Unlike other massage techniques that focus on relaxation, deep tissue massage helps to treat muscle pain and improve stiffness. But it can still help to you unwind mentally, too.
Deep tissue massage is best suited for people who engage in highly physical activities, such as running, or those who have an injury or chronic pain.
What does my massage therapy involve?
I work on certain areas of your body to help eliminate knots. Performing this procedure enhances a feeling of relief physically, mentally and emotionally. During your massage, I will rub, stretch, and apply pressure to muscles in your body. Some of my massage treatments involve over-the-clothes touching. Others involve direct contact with your skin with doTERRA essential oils, which may help with reduction of stress, pain, and with the speed of your muscles responding and your recovery.
Benefits of my message therapy...
Relieve Your Pain Naturally
Therapeutic massage can loosen your tight muscles, get your blood flowing, and calm your mind. As a Massage Therapist, I will focus on specific problem areas of your body, as well as stiff muscles, and gradually loosen them with increasing blood circulation. These actions help alleviate pain tied to injuries, arthritis and a range of other conditions. After regular sessions you may see benefits like a reduction in need for pain medications.
Solve Your Pain & Injuries
While the goal of physical rehabilitation is to increase strength and flexibility, it often ends before the area has been returned to its full pre-injury state. Massage plays an important role as a supplement to standard injury rehabilitation procedures. It helps the body pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs. This allows the rehabilitating injured area to become more flexible and heal at an accelerated rate.
Boost Your Immunity
It’s a well-known fact that people with a busy or stressful lifestyle are more likely to get sick more often. This stress often leads to a myriad of other negative side effects such as lack of sleep, a bad diet and a weakened immune system. Regular massage sessions help alleviate stress and, as a result, have been proven to naturally increase the immune system’s cytotoxic capacity – aka its ability to fight off bacteria and infection.
Improve Your Posture
Bad posture can be corrected with regular massages. When you undergo treatment you allow your body to begin to reintroduce healthier movements. The massage itself will alleviate any pain caused by your bad posture. This will enable your body to position itself in its natural-and pain-free-posture. With ongoing massage the body will begin to naturally position itself in a healthy posture, steering clear of the bad posture.
